That’s OK – it’s good to find out that you’re not quite ready to join us. That way, you won’t get stressed by being out of your depth and eventually giving up!

So what should you do next?

To improve your comprehension you need to be listening to material that is around your level of comprehension. It must not be too difficult!

Find a way that works for you to learn new words – a wordlist, flashcards – whatever you can refer to regularly so that your vocabulary grosws.

YouTube is a great source of material of this type and my recommendations are:

Español con Juan
and at a slightly more advanced level:
Español Automatico
Spanish Input
Use Your Spanish.

If you are at a Beginner level and really want to practice speaking with others, my first recommendation would be to find a good teacher – perhaps on iTalki.
